Gladiator 2025: $39,995, No Manual, Hybrid Coming Soon!

Jeep has finally officially announced its 2025 Gladiator, starting at $39,995, with many notable updates. One of the most important is a feature it doesn’t have anymore: the six-speed manual transmission, which makes an eight-speed automatic standard on all trims. There’s supposed to be a plug-in hybrid (4xe) later in 2025 but won’t be available at launch.

Even the entry-level trim of the Gladiator now comes with power windows and power door locks for added convenience, making the vehicle more practical in daily use, especially considering the jeep’s Connect app, which would remotely switch cabin ventilation, something of use in a hot climate.

The model now offers new paint color options, providing the customer with more choices for personalization. Jeep has done a pretty good job at bringing the price increase small, only a little more than $205 over its 2024 version. It’s the balance of rugged capability and modern convenience that will give the Gladiator its edge in off-road markets.

One disappointing omission at launch will be a plug-in hybrid, but it’s something the company has indicated will be part of the lineup by the end of 2025. For now, Gladiator fans will just appreciate the updates and the focus on off-road prowess that define the brand.
